WHAT IS CURTIDO?

Curtido is a traditional Salvadoran dish, often served as a side with pupusas (a popular El Salvadoran dish). It’s a type of pickled cabbage slaw made with finely shredded cabbage, carrots, and sometimes, such as onions or Non hot peppers. The mixture is then seasoned with vinegar, oregano, and other spices to create a tangy flavor.

( Curtido taste is blend- you will not taste any of the ingredientes)

Curtido is typically left to marinate for a few hours or even a day, allowing the flavors to blend and develop. It’s crunchy, flavorful, and adds a refreshing contrast to the richness of pupusas.

*Resembles sauerkraut, kimchi, or tart coleslaw.

 * It does not taste like any of these, on the contrary 99.9% of whomever taste it for the first time, becomes a fan.
